<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a secondary battery capable of stabilizing airtightness at a terminal part. <P>SOLUTION: The secondary battery comprises: a generator 2 having a positive electrode plate and a negative electrode plate disposed with a separator interposed therebetween; a battery can 1 to house the generator 2; a battery lid 5 to seal an opening of the battery can 1; a terminal 7 inserted into a through hole formed in the battery lid 5; a collector plate 3 whose one end is connected to the positive electrode plate and the negative electrode plate of the generator 2 and whose other end is connected to the terminal 7; and a gasket 4 that is held between the battery lid 5 and the terminal 7 in the through hole of the battery lid 5. The terminal 7 includes: a flange part 71; and a connection part 72 which has a smaller outer diameter than the flange part 71, and is connected to the other side of the collector plate 3. The flange part 71 includes a plurality of annular shaped protrusions that are protruded from a flange plane toward a connection part 72 in a vertical direction.
