<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately read out a signal from a pixel array in accordance with a usage state of an imaging apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus includes: a pixel array in which a plurality of pixels having first pixels and second pixels are arranged; a read-out section including a first holding section and a second holding section which read out signals from the pixel array through column signal lines and hold the read signals; an output line connected to the second holding section; and a control section for controlling the read-out section to operate in a first mode or in a second mode. In the first mode, an operation in which the signals read out from the second pixels are transferred to the first holding section and an operation in which the signals of the first pixels are read out from the second holding section to the output line are performed concurrently. In the second read-out mode, an operation in which the signals of the first pixels are read out from the second holding section to the output line and an operation in which the signals read out from the second pixels are transferred to the second holding section are performed sequentially. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
