<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in which, since correction data of image data with low density uses a low potential level for smoothing processing, dots cannot be normally formed on a paper sheet, so that unsmoothness due to pseudo halftone processing cannot be improved. <P>SOLUTION: An edge portion of image data is subjected to smoothing processing in which correction data subjected to screen processing using a multi-valued dither matrix which grows smoothly without pattern interference is added in a high density region, and correction data subjected to error diffusion with density stability is added in a low density region. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
