A rotation angle acquisition unit (101) acquires an angle by which a stereoscopic image is to be rotated around a viewing direction. A multi-view image storage unit (103) stores, as multi-view images, a plurality of images obtained by changing a shooting position of a subject from one direction. A selection unit (102) selects, from the multi-view images stored in the multi-view image storage unit (103), raw images for the stereoscopic image according to a rotation angle. A rotation unit (104) rotates each of the selected raw images on the basis of the rotation angle, and generates a stereoscopic image as an image constituting the stereoscopic image.
