Provided are a ß inhibiting protein 1, fragments thereof, an encoding nucleic acid sequence of, a recombinant vector of, a host cell of, and a preparation method for the ß inhibiting protein 1 and the fragments thereof, and pharmaceutical compositions comprising the ß inhibiting protein 1 and the fragments thereof. The ß inhibiting protein 1 and the fragments thereof can be used for treating or preventing PPAR?-mediated diseases including obesity, inflammation, insulin resistance, diabetes, atherosclerosis, or metabolic syndrome.
