MANAGEMENT SYSTME AND METHOD FOR DESIGN DATA IN A VESSEL

PURPOSE: A system for managing ship design data and a method thereof are provided to integrally manage information about the measurement, purchase, and installation of design devices and cables by consistently using design data of 2D and 3D design drawings. CONSTITUTION: An equipment ID DB(DataBase)(110) stores an equipment ID granted to an equipment of a ship. A cable data extracting module(120) uses the equipment ID to extract 2D cable data from a 2D drawing. A 3D drawing data registering module(300) maps the 2D drawing with a 3D drawing based on the equipment ID. The 3D drawing data registering module maps the 2D cable data with 3D cable data to combine the same with the 3D drawing. A 2D drawing data registering module(200) stores and manages the 2D drawing and 2D cable data.
