<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing fine particles having a narrower particle size distribution by preventing the fusion of droplets with each other after spraying, and eliminating satellites, and to provide a method for producing toner for electrostatic charge image development. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing the toner for electrostatic charge image development includes: preparing a solution or dispersion by dissolving or dispersing a toner material that at least contains binding resin and a pigment in a solvent; discharging droplets from a droplet discharge means that has a plurality of holes provided for a portion of a channel for supplying the solution or dispersion; and solidifying the droplets in a gas to form toner particles, wherein the passage cross-sectional area of air flow on which the droplets after discharge is put is maintained or expanded immediately after the discharge of the droplets by a throttling section disposed near the downstream of a liquid discharge surface of the liquid discharge means to decelerate a droplet stream velocity temporarily, and then the passage cross-sectional area is reduced to accelerate the droplets again. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
