<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the power consumption of a display device. <P>SOLUTION: A display device includes a wire to which a video signal is input, a first capacitor connected in parallel to the wire, a second capacitor connected in parallel to the wire, and pixels. A first switch which controls the conduction state and the non-conduction state between the first capacitor and the wire is provided between the first capacitor and the wire. A second switch which controls the conduction state and the non-conduction state between the second capacitor and the wire is provided between the second capacitor and the wire.
