<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle seat device which can achieve low power consumption, while improving the durability. <P>SOLUTION: The vehicle seat device includes: a lock mechanism which restricts sliding movement of the seat, and a motor which performs restriction and its release by a lock mechanism based on operation of an operation switch. In an unpowered state, the motor has a self-restraining force to prevent the output part from moving, and can drive the output part in a positive direction to release the restriction and a reverse direction to perform restriction. Moreover, the vehicle seat device includes: a release limit switch that detects the restriction being released; a restriction limit switch that detects the restriction being applied; and an ECU that performs, when releasing the restriction, energization to make the motor drive the output part to the positive direction until the release is detected by the release limit switch, and performs, when applying the restriction, energization to make the motor drive the output part to the reverse direction until the restriction is detected by the restriction limit switch. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
