<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk drive capable of reducing mounting failures of an optical disk and image stoppage occurrences during reproduction resulting from erroneous detection of track flow. <P>SOLUTION: An optical disk drive of this invention includes an optical pickup, a signal generating part for generating a total reflection signal and a focus error signal, and a servo control part for controlling the optical pickup. The optical disk drive also includes a main control part for binarizing a track cross signal by using a predetermined threshold, and discriminating a trace state of a track by using the binarized track cross signal. The main control part controls a servo control part so as to trace the track of the optical disk by one round to determine whether a tracking servo deviation occurs. If a tracking servo deviation occurs during the tracing, the servo control part is controlled so as to execute the determination again. When a tracking servo deviation occurs again as a result of the re-execution, a threshold used for binarization is increased. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
