<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fix a power-receiving connector of a charging cable for an electric vehicle to a power supply apparatus S when the charging cable is in use so as to lock it in an undetachable manner. <P>SOLUTION: A lock device 1 comprises a housing 2 which is fastened at a position, on a power supply apparatus S, adjacent to a connection with a power-receiving connector C of a charging cable. A latch 5 is supported in the housing 2 so that it can rotate between a restricted position where it comes close to an engaging part C4 of the power-receiving connector C connected to the power supply apparatus S so as to restrict an engagement releasing motion, and a released position where it is spaced away from the engaging part C4 of the power-receiving connector C so as to permit the engagement releasing motion. The power-receiving connector C is locked to the power supply apparatus S by fastening a cylinder lock 3 on the housing 2, coupling the latch 5 to a rotor in the housing 2, and locking the latch 5 at the restricted position by the operation of a key 4. After locking, the key 4 is pull out and carried by a user so as to prevent the charging cable from being taken away even if the user moves away from the power supply apparatus S. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
