METHOD FOR PRODUCING CO ADSORBING/DESORBING AGENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a CO adsorbing/desorbing agent which can be used in a hydrogen station and can selectively remove CO with simple equipment [a pressure swing adsorption (PSA) method or a temperature swing adsorption (TSA) method].

SOLUTION: In a method for producing the CO adsorbing/desorbing agent, a porous carrier carrying a copper (II) compound and a melted organic compound are mixed in the absence of water and then burned. In the method, the porous carrier carrying the copper (II) compound and the organic compound are brought into contact with each other in the absence of a solvent, whereby the copper (II) compound can be reduced without being eluted again.
