<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of excellently detecting the focusing state of an optical system. <P>SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus includes an imaging part 22 imaging an image by the optical system and outputting an image signal corresponding to the imaged image, a focus detection part 21 detecting the shift amount of an image surface by the optical system, to detect the focusing state of the optical system, based on the output of focus detection pixels 222a and 222b provided in the light receiving surface of the imaging part 22, a diaphragm 34 restricting a luminous flux passing through the optical system and then, made incident on the light receiving surface of the imaging part 22, a display part 26 displaying a through-image corresponding to the image repeatedly imaged by the imaging part 22, and a control part 21 setting the diaphragm value of the optical system to a diaphragming side limit value for detecting a focus or a value closer to an open side than the diaphragming side limit value, during a period from when the display of the through-image is started by the display part 26 to when the half-depressing operation of a shutter release button is performed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
