FIN SEAL CONTAINER AND METHOD

A method for assembling a fin seal container (8) is disclosed. A container blank is assembled into a three-dimensional body with at least one end portion (20) comprising a first fin seal panel (80) and a second fin seal panel (82). The end portion is folded such that an inner major surface (100) of the first fin seal panel is adjacent to an inner major surface of the second fin seal panel. The first fin seal panel is separated from the second fin seal panel, and then the inner major surface of the first fin seal panel and/or the inner major surface of the second fin seal panel are treated. Consequently, the first fin seal panel is pressed into engagement with the second fin seal panel. A pre-cut blank (30) for forming a fin seal container is also disclosed.
