<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide economical Zn-containing synthetic mica powder that is white, has soft and mellow feeling, and high acid resistance. <P>SOLUTION: Zn-containing synthetic mica powder is represented by formula (I): X<SB POS="POST">1/3-1</SB>Y<SB POS="POST">2-3</SB>(Z<SB POS="POST">4</SB>O<SB POS="POST">10</SB>)F<SB POS="POST">2×0.75-2×1.0</SB>. In the formula, X is an ion of one or more kinds of elements selected from Na, K, Li, Ca, Rb, and Sr. Y is one or more kinds of ions selected from Mg, Al, Li, Ti, and Zn. Z is an ion of one or more kinds of elements selected from Al, Si, Ge, B, Ti, and Zn; at least either Y or Z includes a Zn ion and the mole number of Zn ion content is 0.45 to 2.0 moles. The Zn-containing synthetic mica powder can be obtained by heat-treating synthetic mica powder material containing 0.45 to 2.0 moles of Zn ion as a tetrahedral layer ion and/or an octahedral layer ion at 600 to 1,200°C. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
