<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soilborne disease controlling agent, and a method for controlling a soilborne disease using the same. <P>SOLUTION: This soilborne disease controlling agent contains a carbohydrate-binding module (CBM) originated in fungi. A soilborne disease can be controlled by spraying an aqueous solution containing the soilborne disease controlling agent to stems and leaves of an objective plant.
