<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress deterioration in after-endurance charge efficiency and lowering of output due to the deterioration by simultaneously controlling charge voltage and oxygen generating voltage in a high SOC region, even in a battery system where deterioration in discharge voltage in a low SOC region is suppressed. <P>SOLUTION: In an alkaline storage battery 10 of the present invention, a ratio of a zinc mass of zinc hydroxide is 7 mass% or less relative to a nickel mass of nickel hydroxide serving as a positive electrode material, any one or more compounds selected from among a niobium compound, a tungsten compound and a molybdenum compound are added therein, and an additive amount of the compounds is 0.5 mass% or more and 2.0 mass% or less relative to a mass of the positive electrode active material mainly comprising nickel hydroxide. An alkaline electrolyte contains 0.4-5.3 mol/L of sodium hydroxide or 0.3-0.8 mol/L of lithium hydroxide. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
