An ultrasonic diagnostic device (1) that determines the type of liver tumors with high precision. Said ultrasonic diagnostic device is provided with the following: an image formation unit (103) that forms an ultrasound image corresponding to an echo signal received from a subject after the administration of a contrast agent; a region-of-interest setting unit (105) that sets two different regions, a first region of interest and a second region of interest, within a target region corresponding to target tissue on the ultrasound image formed by the image formation unit (103); a feature-quantity extraction unit (106) that extracts a feature quantity consisting of the difference between the brightness of the first region of interest set by the region-of-interest setting unit (105) and the brightness of the second region of interest set thereby; and a type determination unit (107) that determines the type of the target tissue on the basis of the feature quantity extracted by the feature-quantity extraction unit (106).
