<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce loss in a switching device at start-up even if a power-supply voltage varies, in a rice cooker provided with a switching device series-connected to a heating coil for induction heating the bottom of a pot. <P>SOLUTION: The rice cooker includes: the heating coil 2 for heating the pot; a resonance capacitor 3 constituting the heating coil and a resonance circuit; a switching device 4 connected to the heating coil in series; a rectifier 10 for supplying power to the heating coil; a power-supply voltage detector 31 for detecting voltage of an AC power supply; a minimum on-time setter 33 for setting an on-time minimum value of the switching device; and a controller 17 for controlling the switching device. The minimum on-time setter can set, by establishing a minimum on-time according to the power-supply voltage detected by the power-supply voltage detector and setting the minimum on-time when the switching device starts, a minimum on-time for lowering a turn-on voltage of the switching device sufficiently at start-up even if the power-supply voltage is 100V or 200V. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
