<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size and cost of a cutting/dividing device for root crops such as potato, onion, carrot and pumpkin. <P>SOLUTION: The cutting/dividing device for the root crops has a rotary cylindrical body 10 rotatably supported by a vertically disposed fixed spindle 6, and the rotary cylindrical body 10 comprises a cylindrical part 11, an upper plate 12 fixed to an upper end of the cylindrical part 11, and a rotary disc 13 fixed to a lower end of the cylindrical part 11, extended outward from the cylindrical part 11 and formed into a disc shape. The rotary disc 13 is provided with cutting/dividing blades 21 forming sets for cutting and dividing the root crops at a plurality of places at the same angles, the cylindrical part 11 is provided with pressing members 32 corresponding to centers of the cutting/dividing blades 21 of each of the sets and made to downwardly slide by dead weight, the pressing member 32 has a groove 32b formed at a part according to the cutting/dividing blades 21, and a cam 41 forming a cam face 42 on a lower face corresponding to an upper face of the pressing member 32 is fixed to a lower face of the top plate 4. A cam face 42 of the cam 41 is downwardly tilted along the rotation direction of the rotary cylindrical body 10, and an end point 44 of the cam face 42 is formed at a height for downwardly pressing the pressing member 32 to completely cut and divide the root crops. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
