<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a console impact absorbing structure, while enabling easy adjustment of impact absorbing capacity. <P>SOLUTION: In the console impact absorbing structure 10, a first bracket 28 fixed to a floor panel 14 is fastened to a second bracket 30 fixed to a bottom wall 24A of a console box 24, using a bolt 64 and a nut 48. The bolt 64 is inserted into an oblong hole 62 formed on the second bracket 30. The impact force F to the back end side of a center console 12 exceeds the fastening force between the bolt 64 and the nut 48, so that the second bracket 30 slides toward the first bracket 28 (See an arrow S.). As a result, the center console 12 can be displaced to the direction of the impact force F around a bolt 20 on the front end side. The impact absorbing capacity can be adjusted easily only by adjusting the fastening force between the bolt 64 and the nut 48. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
