PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a blur in an in-focus region and improve the image quality of a blurred region outside the in-focus region when generating a composite image on the basis of captured image data captured from a plurality of viewpoints.

SOLUTION: Weighting coefficients for captured image data and interpolation image data are set for each region on the basis of in-focus state information indicating an in-focus state of each region, and the captured image data and the interpolation image data are combined on the basis of the weighting coefficients. A weighting coefficient for interpolation image data in an in-focus region is smaller than a weighting coefficient for interpolation image data in at least a partial region in a region other than the in-focus region.
