<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress influence of show-through caused by reflected light on a rear surface image without needing a light source conversion element for receiving only specific one color. <P>SOLUTION: An image reader 1 comprises: a light source 41 which emits light toward one surface of a document M located in a predetermined reading area; a light source 31 which emits light toward the other surface of the document; a receiver 42 which receives both the light emitted from the light source 31 and reflected by the document and the light emitted from the light source 41 and having passed through the document; and a reading controller 11 which controls the light source 31 and the light source 41 to emit light of different colors having a relation of complementary colors onto the document and controls a light receiver to output image reading data based on the result of light reception by the light receiver. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
