The use of hypericum japonicum Thunb. general flavone in preparing medicament for treating hepatic fibrosis is provided in the present invention. The hypericum japonicum Thunb. general flavone is an effective component extracted from hypericum japonicum Thunb.. A medicinal composition for treating hepatic fibrosis, which comprises the hypericum japonicum Thunb. general flavone and pharmaceutically acceptable carrier is also provided in the present invention.
