This communication device comprises: a communication means for communicating; an input means for receiving input by detecting the proximity or contact of an object; and a control unit for setting a first area in which input related to control of the communication means is received, and a second area, which differs to the first area, to input areas for the input means, and for controlling the operation of the input means on the basis of the proximity or contact of the object in the second area.
