PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance effectiveness of α-2-adrenergic agonist components.

SOLUTION: Compositions useful for improving effectiveness of α-2-adrenergic agonist components include carrier components, α-2-adrenergic agonist components, solubility enhancing components which aid in solubilizing the α-2-adrenergic agonist components. In one embodiment, the α-2-adrenergic agonist components include α-2-adrenergic agonists. In another embodiment, the solubility enhancing components include povidone or polyvinyl alcohol.
