<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power generation device capable of obtaining large power from a small water flow which has not been utilized hitherto. <P>SOLUTION: A power generating unit is constituted of: a unit frame 7 which has a rectangular frame body and in which a rotating shaft holds a vertical bearing 8 in the thickness direction of the frame body; a propeller hydraulic turbine 12 which is held at the bearing 8 at its shaft, and attached with a propeller 9 at its one end and a first bevel gear 11 at its the other end, respectively; a vertical transmission rod 16 attached with a second bevel gear 17 engaged with the first bevel gear at its lower end and turnably pivoted to the unit frame 7; and a power generator 21 which is firmly arranged at the upper side of the unit frame with an input shaft oriented downward and connected to the upper end of the transmission rod via a coupler 22.
