摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that smooth operation of an EGR control valve and an opening/closing valve is hindered due to adhesion of a foreign matter to the EGR control valve, in an internal combustion engine where an EGR device, having the EGR control valve and the opening/closing valve, is incorporated. <P>SOLUTION: In an operation control method for an internal combustion engine, the engine 10, where an automatic transmission and an EGR device 36 are incorporated, is temporarily stopped and restarted. The EGR device includes: an EGR passage 39a for introducing some exhaust into an intake passage 24a, as an EGR gas; an EGR control valve 40, which is arranged in the EGR passage at an intake passage side, and controls a flow rate of the EGR gas introduced into the intake passage; and the opening/closing valve 41, which is arranged in the EGR passage on an exhaust passage 35a side, and opens and closes the EGR passage. The method closes the opening/closing valve when a change rate of an accelerator opening degree is not lower than a predetermined positive value, closes the opening/closing valve when an engine speed is in a predetermined range, and closes the EGR control valve when the engine speed is not in the predetermined range. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
