<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable electronic apparatus and a control program for the portable electronic apparatus capable of preventing a wrong parameter from being set to application software more than before. <P>SOLUTION: A portable electronic apparatus 100 includes a detection unit 190d for detecting a character string from a captured image showing the character string, which is generated by capturing the character string.
