<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pixel data processing device which can speedily correct pixel data of a defective pixel. <P>SOLUTION: For correcting the pixel data of the defective pixel in an imaging element, a specification processing of the pixel data of the defective pixel is performed at every pixel group consisting of the setting number of pixels, and defective pixel group information referred to during that time is constituted of pixel group unit information. More desirably, the pixel group unit information is constituted of specification information including a defective pixel group for identifying a pixel group including the defective pixel and position specification information in the defective pixel group for specifying a position of the defective pixel in the pixel group.
