<p>Provided is an aqueous resin composition characterized by being obtained by dispersing, in an aqueous medium, a polymer (A) which has a glass transition temperature of at least 60°C and which is obtained by solution polymerizing an unsaturated monomer mixture containing a cycloalkyl (meth)acrylate (a1), a carboxyl group-containing unsaturated monomer (a2) and a hydroxyl group-containing unsaturated monomer (a3) as essential components. This aqueous resin composition can be used as an aqueous coating material that is coated on, for example, a molded plastic article such as an acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene copolymer or a polycarbonate. By coating the aqueous coating material on a molded plastic article, it is possible to obtain a molded plastic article having a cured coating film having excellent glossiness, vividness, adhesive properties, solvent resistance and resistance to warm water whitening.</p> |
