<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heater unit for supplying heated air to a paper cassette in a copying machine, with the heater unit being capable of efficiently heating air and supplying it to the paper cassette without requiring a large installation space. <P>SOLUTION: A heater unit comprises an air introduction part, a heated air takeout part, and a metal plate provided on its surface with protrusions in a meandering or a wave-like shape, with heater elements arranged inside the protrusions.
