PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a cross-sectional shape of a lens array that is formed by linearly arranging a plurality of lenses non-line symmetry to an axis that is parallel to a straight line connecting an object and a formed image so as to increase the amount of light and thereby obtain a bright formed image.

SOLUTION: A lens array includes a plurality of lenses that are linearly arranged. When a direction parallel to a straight line connecting an object 31a and a formed image 31c is a first direction; an arrangement direction of the lenses is a second direction; and a plane orthogonal to the second direction is an XZ plane; a cross-sectional shape formed by the XZ plane is non-line symmetry to an axis that is parallel to the first direction.
