<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biomass gasification apparatus, configured so that an input amount of gasifying agent can be easily adjusted while efficiently supplying biomass with uneven particle size into a gasification furnace. <P>SOLUTION: The gasification apparatus for obtaining production gas 17 by gasifying pulverized biomass powder and granular material 11 with gasifying agent 12 includes: a powder and granular material supply unit 14 for directly supplying the biomass powder and granular material 11 into the gasification furnace 13; and a steam supply unit 16 for supplying steam 15 for dispersion from the circumference of the supply unit 14.
