<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing an organic electroluminescent element that can enhance coating property, and an organic electroluminescent element. <P>SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing an organic electroluminescent element has a coating layer forming step of moving a die coater 1 having a pair of lips 21, 22 and a slit-shaped discharge port 31 formed between the pair of lips 21, 22 relatively to a base material and coating a coating liquid L from the discharge port 31 to form a coating layer 4. In the coating layer forming step, a surface of the lip 22 located at the coating-layer 4 forming side out of the pair of lips 21, 22, the surface confronting the surface of the base material 2, is inclined so that the surface is farther away from the base material 2 according as it is away from the discharge port 31, and the coating liquid L is coated by using the die coater 1 in which the inclination angle θ is set to 10 to 80° with respect to the surface of the base material 2 which confronts the discharge port 31. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
