UNIDIRECTIONAL REINFORCEMENT FABRIC AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME, AND PREPREG AND CARBON FIBER COMPOSITE MATERIAL USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a unidirectional reinforcement fabric formed using carbon fiber bundles, which hardly loses the shape of the fabric so that the linearity of carbon fibers in the fabric is maintained even in working environments of various types of mold processing, such as resin impregnating operation.

SOLUTION: A unidirectional reinforcement fabric comprises warp yarns comprising carbon fiber bundles and weft yarns binding the warp yarns. The unidirectional reinforcement fabric satisfies the following conditions (a), (b) and (d), and satisfies the following conditions (c-1) and/or (c-2): (a) the unidirectional reinforcement fabric has a basis weight of 100 g/m2or more and 500 g/m2or less; (b) the unidirectional reinforcement fabric has a cantilever value of 170 mm or more; (c-1) the degree of single fiber orientation is 91% or more in the carbon fiber bundles forming the unidirectional reinforcement fabric; (c-2) the degree of single fiber orientation is 91% or more in the carbon fiber bundles forming a hardened material of the unidirectional reinforcement fabric and a resin; and (d) the roundness of a single fiber cross section is 92% or less in the carbon fiber bundles forming the unidirectional reinforcement fabric.
