<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a reinforcing member capable of manufacturing the reinforcing member whose density of reinforcing fiber pieces is different depending on portions and is uniform without a problem of entanglement of the reinforcing fiber pieces themselves, and to provide a device of manufacturing the reinforcing member. <P>SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the reinforcing member 10 includes: a cutting process of cutting the reinforcing fiber 14 to make a plurality of the reinforcing fiber pieces 12, a scattering process of scattering the reinforcing fiber pieces 12 on a rubber sheet to make a reinforcing fiber piece layer 13, a feeding process of feeding and laying another rubber sheet on the rubber sheet to interpose the reinforcing fiber piece layer 13 between the rubber sheets, and a press-bonding process of pushing the rubber sheets against each other to press-bond them wherein the cutting process and the scattering process are conducted successively and wherein when the reinforcing fiber pieces 12 are scattered via a guide having an opening only in the up/down direction in the scattering process, there is used the guide whose width along the widthwise direction of the rubber sheet at the lower end is broader than that at the upper end, and whose width gradually increases from the upper side to the lower side. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
