The stereoscopic video display is provided with a menu superimposition unit (103) for superimposing the 2D video data and a menu image, and a 2D/3D conversion controller (104) for controlling the 2D/3D converter (105) according to the content of the menu image being displayed. When the menu image being displayed is a menu image related to video adjustment relating to stereoscopic display through 2D/3D conversion, the 2D/3D conversion controller (104) performs a control so as to discontinue the conversion function of the 2D/3D converter (105) for regions in which the menu image is superimposed, and to execute the conversion function of the 2D/3D converter (105) for other regions.</p>
