PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a two sided thermal transfer image-receiving sheet that considers the environmental impact while preventing both of "blocking" and "print roughness" that originates in "surface roughness".

SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing a two sided thermal transfer image-receiving sheet that comprises: a base material; and a heat insulation layer, and a receiving layer on both sides of the base material in this order, includes: a process in which the receiving layer is formed by using a water based dispersion coating liquid in which a solvent based solution to disperse a solvent based resin and an anti-blocking agent to a solvent is emulsified in a water based solution by an emulsifying agent.
