<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate electric power by a motor generator by retarding a phase of an intake valve to the most retarded phase, when an engine is stopped. <P>SOLUTION: A phase of an intake valve is regarded to the most retarded phase during a period from when fuel supply in an engine is stopped to when an output shaft of the engine is stopped. After the fuel supply in the engine is stopped, torque is added by a first motor generator in the reverse direction of the rotation direction of the output shaft of the engine. The torque added to the engine from the first motor generator is increased more, as the change amount becomes larger from when the phase retardation of the intake valve is started. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
