OPTICAL SCANNING DEVICE, AND IMAGE FORMING DEVICE HAVING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical scanning device in which an optical element can be accurately adhered and fixed with a simple structure.

SOLUTION: Light emitted from a laser diode (light source) 22 is entered to deflection means through a cylindrical lens (optical element) 23 adhered and fixed to a housing 21. An image carrier is scanned and exposed with the light deflected by the deflection means and focused by a scanning lens. An annular protrusion 21a is formed at a position of the housing 21 where the cylindrical lens 23 is adhered and fixed, and an adhesive 31 is dripped in the protrusion 21a. With the adhesive 31 which forms a required application form in the protrusion 21a with lapse of prescribed time, the cylindrical lens 23 is adhered and fixed to the housing 21.
