<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide compounds which are useful for the treatment and/or prevention of sodium channel-mediated diseases or conditions. <P>SOLUTION: The invention relates to spiro-oxindole compounds represented by formula (I) (wherein, k, j, Q, R<SP POS="POST">1</SP>, R<SP POS="POST">2a</SP>, R<SP POS="POST">2b</SP>, R<SP POS="POST">2c</SP>, R<SP POS="POST">2d</SP>, R<SP POS="POST">3a</SP>, R<SP POS="POST">3b</SP>, R<SP POS="POST">3c</SP>, and R<SP POS="POST">3d</SP>are as defined in the specification) as a stereoisomer, enantiomer, tautomer thereof or mixtures thereof; or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt, solvate or prodrug thereof, which are useful for the treatment and/or prevention of sodium channel-mediated diseases or conditions, such as pain.
