<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opening and closing device for a building partitioned into indoor and outdoor with a pair of a first and a second opening and closing body stacked in the inward and outward direction so as to form a waiting room between these opening and closing bodies, which allows these opening and closing bodies to be smoothly opened along the transit of a passing object. <P>SOLUTION: A first and a second drive control part 12 and 13 which control the opening and closing of a first and a second sheet body 3a and 4a are connected to an intermediate sensor 11 and a first and a second intermediate sensor activation circuit 12e and 13e connected to first and second corresponding intermediate sensor input rejecting means, respectively.
