<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an erroneous input through a display unit with a touch panel. <P>SOLUTION: A body 1 of a heating cooker includes: a heating chamber 2 for storing an object to be heated; a door 3 covering the front face of the heating chamber 2; a heating means heating the object to be heated; a control means 9 controlling the heating means; and an operation display portion 6 which includes a display part 70 with a touch panel, and is disposed on the body 1 or the door 3, the touch panel for guiding a user to a plurality of settings in a hierarchical structure made deep for selecting a heating condition of the heating means from a plurality of conditions and setting a menu of desired cooking. The display part 70 with a touch panel includes: a liquid crystal display 37 displaying the menu and contents of setting; and a touch panel 38 including a plurality of transparent electrodes arranged in a width direction and a vertical direction on an upper face of the liquid crystal display 37 to constitute a matrix in the width direction and the vertical direction to detect changes in the electrostatic capacitance of each electrode.
