<p>The device has a measuring instrument for measuring coil current (I), and a transformation unit for transformation of the measured coil current into a digital voltage signal. The digital voltage signal is read as an evaluation signal at a sample rate by an evaluation unit. A contactor i.e. electrical, mechanical switch, includes a response time and a bounce time when switching on, and a fall time when switching off. The sample rate amounts to multiple inverse bounce times and inverse fall time. The evaluation signal is evaluated by the evaluation unit in a predetermined evaluation time space. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for diagnosing a contactor for an electrical device (2) a hybrid or electric car.</p> |
