<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-quality color filter for transflective in-plane switching liquid crystal display device capable of preventing such malfunction that fine particles exposed on the surface of a tapered part in a light scattering layer are stripped from occurring upon rubbing. <P>SOLUTION: The color filter for transflective in-plane switching liquid crystal display device includes a transparent substrate and a colored layer which is formed on the transparent substrate and has an opening part formed therein, wherein a region where the colored layer having the opening part is superimposed on the transparent substrate is used as a region for reflection light and a region where the colored layer having no opening part is superimposed on the transparent substrate is used as a region for transmission light, wherein a light scattering layer made by dispersing the fine particles into the transparent resin is formed on the colored layer in the region for reflection light, and a cover layer with which the tapered part is covered is formed on the tapered part of the light scattering layer, wherein no electrode is formed on the light scattering layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
