<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positive electrode material for a lithium secondary battery containing a lithium silicate and capable of providing a lithium secondary battery with a high capacity and a long life. <P>SOLUTION: A high capacity and a long life are achieved by using a positive electrode material for a lithium secondary battery represented by the formula: Li<SB POS="POST">2-2a</SB>M<SB POS="POST">1+a-b</SB>N<SB POS="POST">b</SB>Si<SB POS="POST">1-c</SB>X<SB POS="POST">c</SB>O<SB POS="POST">4</SB>, where M represents one or more elements selected from the group consisting of Fe and Mn, N represents one or more elements selected from the group consisting of Mg, Ca, and Zn, X represents one or more elements selected from the group consisting of V and Ti, -0.1≤a≤0.1, 0≤b≤0.1, 0<c≤0.3, and 1.0<((1+a-b)+c)≤1.3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
