<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an employment support device and an employment support method by which an employer can grasp a degree of employment desire of a job applicant. <P>SOLUTION: An employment support device 1 acquires job offer application information in which priority information showing a level of employment application priority set for every employer at application destinations by job applicants from terminals 2, 2,... on the job applicant side via employment portal sites 3, 3,..., and generates application situation information, in which at least the priority information is included, on the basis of the job offer application information. In addition, the employment support device 1 specifies the number of high priority applications showing the number of pieces of job offer application information with high employment application priority of job offer application information concerning one job applicant on the basis of the priority information included in the job offer application information acquired from the terminal 2 on the side of the one job applicant.
