<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laminate for authenticity determination, which has an optical element with higher accuracy and higher security for forgery prevention of a credit card or a bank note. <P>SOLUTION: A laminate for authenticity determination includes a polarization layer with a linear asperity structure having a linear polarization function on the back face and a retardation layer with a retardation value of a quarter wavelength (λ/4) on the display surface. The polarization layer has a depth of 100 to 500 nm and an asperity structure with a distance between center lines of 150 nm or longer.
