<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that a device for attaching various pieces of equipment to a handrail used by an astronaut as a gripper has not existed so far. <P>SOLUTION: A handrail attachment device A is a device for attaching various pieces of equipment M to a handrail HR used as a gripper by an astronaut who works under a space exposure environment, includes an equipment-connecting part 2 disposed on the top of a device body 1 to connect various pieces of equipment M, and aligning guides 3 engaged with both longitudinal ends of a handrail HR, soft dock mechanisms 4 engaged with both width direction ends of the handrail HR when the aligning guides 3 are engaged with the handrail HR, and a hold mechanism 5 which grips and releases the handrail HR on both its width direction ends as the soft dock mechanisms 4 are engaged with the handrail HR, all of which are disposed on the lower part of the device body 1, so that various pieces of equipment M are attached/detached to/from the handrail HR by, for example, a robot arm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
